The farmyard has woken me up by barking, crowing and mewing. All the pesky, noisy feather and fluff balls have been fed and tended to and I'm sitting in the dark on a cold Sunday morning listening to Steve press 'snooze' every five minutes on his alarm clock.
It feels officially like Autumn today. The loch is still, the leaves are brown and effortlessly falling to the earth, the birds are chirping and the sun is slowly rising from behind the mountains.
I can hear one of the rabbits drinking from it's water bottle, the ping of my email as I confirm details of cupcakes for someone's wedding and cars driving by faintly in the distance.
It's not long until Christmas, and for once I can't wait!
