A friend of a friend's Old English Sheepdog has sadly had to be put to sleep. Sam was a very old dog and had a great life but was struggling to move so they thought this was the best thing for her. I was kindly asked to make a little something for her so I decided to make one of my felt pictures. I can't wait to see their reaction.

We recently visited the Inverawe Smokehouse.
Where we learned that people used to build stone circles near the edge of the sea, and when the tide went out, the circle was filled with fish.
They had a fantastic little walk-around museum with lots of interesting facts and little moving displays. You can even buy some food and feed the fish.

Look what I bought!
All ten seasons in one tiny box.
I'm not a big fan of television, I watch maybe one or two shows a week. If I really want to see something I'll watch it on iplayer or 4OD. We watch a lot of films on DVD too.
But since Friends was cancelled on TV I've really been missing it. I watched it all the time, it cheered me up.
So I decided to buy the box set and so far I'm halfway through season one.
There are so many great episodes and I can't wait to watch them all over again!

I've been thinking a lot about blogging lately and wondering how many of you got into writing them each and every day?
I started this blog as a way of keeping track of the fast paced life we all seem to lead nowadays. I want to remember the silly little things Charlie Brown does, or how little the chickens were when they arrived.
I recently watched the movie 'Julie and Julia'. It's about two cooks, in two different time zones, who want to "master the art of French cooking".
One spends her life writing a cook book while the other spends her time blogging about working her way through the said cookbook.
If you haven't seen it yet I suggest you do, it'll put a smile on your face.

Being a vegetarian married to a meat eater can be hard at times, especially when said meat eater wants oh so very much, to one day eat my pet chickens.
I totally agree in growing your own food, whether it be vegetable or animal.
You know where your food has come from and you know they have had a happy life.
Personally I’m sticking to growing the vegetable side of the diet. Steve buys himself meat from our local butcher and I’m totally fine with that. He cooks it himself, the only time I see it is when it’s in the fridge or on his plate.
And no, he won’t be getting to eat my chickens!

Poppies Garden Centre is situated on the bank of the Firth of Lorne,
this fantastic garden centre offers locals and tourists
a great view and place to visit as well as eat.
I always enjoy the yummy egg mayonnaise baked potato with salad and coleslaw.
It’s become a tradition every time we go.
And this summer I’ve been enjoying the wonderfully cool Mango Crush!
And Banoffe Pie!
If you’re heading along please take time to look at the ‘Poppy Shoppy’ as we call it,
it has unusual gifts, ornaments and furniture to purchase at reasonable prices.
